Incident of the day
On Jan. 29, Santa Monica police narcotics officers conducted a follow-up investigation in the 3700 block of Motor Avenue in Los Angeles. Officers detained two men they believed were involved in a narcotics transaction.
A subsequent search warrant was served at the seller's residence, where officers recovered various amounts of methamphetamine, heroin, prescription pills and packaging materials indicative of narcotics sales.
Officers placed Jeffrey Howard, of Inglewood, under arrest for narcotics sales, narcotics possession, and an outstanding warrant. He was denied bail.
