A record low temperature of 48 degrees was set at the Santa Monica Pier Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
That breaks the old record of 49 degrees set in 1975.
A record low was also set in Long Beach — 44 degrees at the Long Beach Airport. The old record of 49 degrees was set in 1975.
