The suspect in an alleged family murder has been identified as Christopher Mondev, 21.
According to SMPD, Mondev was booked for murder at about 12:13 a.m. on Monday morning. He is accused of fatally shooting his brother, Charles Mondev, 19, during an argument on Sunday night.
According to the Santa Monica Police Department, two brothers got into an argument at about 6:25 p.m. that resulted in one brother shooting and killing the second.
“Officers were called for a shooting on the 900 block of Lincoln,” said SMPD Lieutenant Candice Cobarrubias. “We found a person deceased and it appears it is family related. Two brothers got into an altercation with one shooting the other.”
