The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s LAX office filed one count of murder on Christopher Michael Mondev for the murder of his brother Charles.
Christopher was arraigned on August 27, with a bail of three million dollars. The Santa Monica Police Department said the preliminary date on the case has not been set and will be determined by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office.
Christopher is accused of killing his brother on August 25 following an argument. According to SMPD, officers were called to the scene at about 6:25 p.m.
“Upon arrival, it was determined that one of the brothers used a small caliber handgun to shoot the other inside their residence,” said Lieutenant Candice Cobarrubias in a statement. “The brother who had been shot, suffered from a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is on-going and the motive for the shooting is still being determined.”
