Meals on Wheels West, a nonprofit organization that provides two meals a day, seven days a week to those who cannot easily leave their homes, now has 25 spots available on its route.
The organization hopes to observe the upcoming National Senior Citizens Holiday on Aug. 21 by increasing awareness about their organization, according to a statement released on Monday.
“Meals are about $6 per day, but no one is ever turned away for inability to pay,” said the statement.
