WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT  

For the month of April, the contractor will continue with installation of new water main on Ocean Ave at Adelaide Dr, San Vicente Blvd between 4th St and 7th St and on 7th St between Adelaide Place and Georgina Pl South. The contractor will also continue testing and connecting the newly installed water main on 2nd St between Ashland Ave and Hill St. Please use alternate routes whenever possible.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Carlos Rosales at carlos.rosales@smgov.net or (310) 458-2201, x2620.

ANNUAL WASTEWATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT  

For the month of April, the contractor will be doing spot repairs on the sewer main line on San Vicente and manhole height adjustments along with relining of main line. Work is to be completed by the end of the month.  Please use alternate routes whenever possible. ADVANCED TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, PHASE 5 PROJECT   

This project will upgrade the traffic signal equipment at four locations and install fiber optic cables along Montana Ave and 26th St.; The project will provide transit priority along the corridor, allow for real-time remote monitoring and management of the traffic signals, provide public Wi-Fi along the corridor, and connect the San Vicente Reservoir and the Montana Avenue Branch Library to the City’s network. CITY YARDS MODERNIZATION PROJECT  

Construction will impact the project area located at 2500 Michigan Ave, which will affect the sidewalk and parking lane on the north side of Delaware Ave just east of 24th St. Please contact Senior Construction Manager Sebastian Felbeck at sebastian.felbeck@smgov.net or (310) 434-2675 with any questions/concerns regarding this project.

Olympic Water Transmission Main and Well Equipping Project

The contractor will continue with installation of water main on Texas Ave between Centinela Ave and Saltair and continue installing electrical/Fiber Optic conduits, water main on the Olympic Medians on Olympic Blvd between Cloverfield and Centinela Ave. Traffic on Texas Ave between Centinela Ave and Saltair will be reduced to one lane in the westbound direction and a detour for the eastbound direction. Safe Streets for 17th Street and Michigan Ave Project

For the month of April, crews will be continuing work on 17th Street between Michigan Ave and Pico Blvd installing new curb & gutter, driveways, bike lane, and sidewalk. Work will also continue on Michigan Ave traffic circles at 18th Street and 16th Street.

- Residences and businesses will remain accessible at all times.

- Driveways will remain open unless notified in advance.

- One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times.
