Rugby: Santa Monica Dolphins Rugby Club is plowing its way through the postseason en route to Club Nationals in Atlanta, Ga., this coming weekend, May 21-22.
The Dolphins emerged atop the Pacific Super Regionals earlier this month, trouncing the Portland Eastside Tsunami, 50-17, on May 7, before besting Olympic Club of San Francisco, 48-31, the following day.
“We’ve got two big games ahead of us before we reach our goal,” according to club president Steven Johnson. “Our national semi-final opponent will be Southeast champion Charlotte, NC, en route to a finals match-up with the winner of Denver/Buffalo.”
