A man was arrested Wednesday night after stabbing a juvenile during a fight that began inside a McDonald's restaurant and spilled onto a busy Santa Monica street, police said.
The incident occurred around 10 p.m. near the McDonald's at 2nd Street and Colorado Avenue, according to the Santa Monica Police Department. Officers responded to multiple calls reporting a large fight involving several people.
Witnesses told police the altercation started inside the restaurant between a group of juveniles and an adult male before moving outside to Colorado Avenue. During the fight, the man stabbed one of the juveniles, police said.
The injured juvenile suffered minor, non-life-threatening wounds and was taken to a local hospital, authorities said.
Police arrived within minutes and found the suspect nearby. He was arrested without incident, according to a department statement.
