On May 14 at 9 a.m.
Officers responded to a radio call of an Assault in the area of 4th and Santa Monica Blvd. When officers arrived on scene they observed two females by the bus stop. One female was holding the other’s arms from behind. Officers separated the two women. One of the females struck the other in the head while she was at the bus stop, took her property and threw it onto the street and then began to choke her. The victim was able to get the suspect to release her and then grab her arms and hold them behind her until the police came. While in the Santa Monica Jail, the suspect assaulted the jailer and attempted to take their taser. April Rene Williamson, 27, from Los Angeles was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, battery on a jailer and taking a weapon from a peace officer. Bail was set at $30,000.
