On October 10, at 11 a.m.
Officers responded to the area of 20th and Pico for an assault on a Big Blue Bus driver. The suspect is known to the bus driver on this route due to having violent episodes. When the bus driver pulled over for the stop the suspect was at, the suspect slammed their hands on the bike rack, then went to the driver’s window and punched the driver multiple times on her shoulder/arm. The suspect reached into the bus and took the microphone used to communicate, slammed it against the window of the bus and threatened to cause physical harm to the bus driver. Shanea Violet Cole, 33, homeless, was arrested for assault, battery vandalism and a probation violation. Bail was set at $20,000.
