On February 24 at approximately 4:30 a.m.

Officers responded to a radio call of a burglary in the 700 block of Palisades Beach Road. According to the call, a male had just jumped out of the window and possibly run toward the beach. Upon arriving on scene, officers spoke to one of the victim's who stated that she was asleep in bed with two of her children when she was awakened by one of her children calling out to that the suspect was touching her. The victim said the suspect, later identified as Gerardo Gonzalez-Perez, 25-year-old transient, had touched her over her clothing on her buttocks and breasts. When she asked what he was doing, Gonzalez-Perez told her it was okay.

In an attempt to get Gonzalez-Perez out of the house, the victim escorted him out of the house and to the patio door. Gonzalez-Perez was seen climbing down the patio, scaling a gate and walking toward the 700 block of the beach. The victim told officers that she left the patio door open in the bedroom. The victim's husband told officers that he did not hear anything, but thought it was odd that the bedroom light was on and he entered to check on them. His wife told him what had occurred. In interviewing the additional victims, it was found that Gonzalez-Perez had also kissed the neck of a victim; who is a minor. While initial attempts to identify the suspect were unsuccessful, further investigation by the Crime Investigation Division led to the arrest of Gerardo Gonzalez-Perez on Feb. 25.

Note: Crime Watch is culled from reports provided by the Santa Monica Police Department. These are arrests only. All parties are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
