On August 31, 2017 at about 10:16 a.m.
Officers responded to a radio call for service at Universal Music Group – 2220 Colorado Blvd regarding a disturbance at the business. A subject was reportedly throwing rocks at employees and at several windows. Officers were able to locate the suspect in the area of 17th Street and Broadway. Officers determined the suspect attempted to enter the business but was denied entry. The suspect had been previously escorted off of the premises on multiple occasions. The subject became upset and began to throw rocks at security guards and employees. Several employees were struck but not injured by the rocks. The suspect also threw rocks at the several windows causing damage. The victims were desirous of prosecution and identified the suspect. The suspect was taken into custody. McKenney Pierre, 23, homeless was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism, and resisting arrest. Bail was set at $30,000.
