On March 20, officers conducted a DUI and driver's license checkpoint in the 2600 block of Main Street.

During the checkpoint, an officer stopped a grey Ford Focus and spoke with the female driver. During the conversation, the officer observed symptoms of intoxication.

The officer asked the driver to step out of the car for further investigation. The driver was asked to conduct a series of field sobriety tests, including providing a breath sample into a preliminary alcohol screening device.

The results of the field tests confirmed the officer's belief the driver was operating her vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

The driver was placed under arrest. Jaime Cuningham, of Pontiac, Illinois, had bail set at $5,000.
