Makers Hive Market Returns With Valentine's Day Edition

The Makers Hive Market returns to Santa Monica Place on Sunday, Feb. 1, featuring over 35 Southern California makers, artists and food vendors. The free Valentine's Day-themed event includes workshops, live music, and artisan goods from noon to 5 p.m.

The Makers Hive Market returns to Santa Monica Place on Sunday, Feb. 1, kicking off 2026 with a Valentine's Day edition featuring more than 35 Southern California makers, artists and food concepts.

The family-friendly artisan market runs from noon to 5 p.m. at Center Plaza, 395 Santa Monica Place. Admission is free, though advance registration is encouraged.

The February market features Valentine's Day-inspired experiences and interactive workshops, including quirky illustrated portraits by Bad Portraits, hand-painted pots and a Paint Your Own Pot workshop by La Planta Vida, and a Valentine's Day perfume-making workshop by Mi & Yu Candle.

DJ Priscilla Like Presley will provide live music from 2 to 5 p.m.

Additional vendors include Benito Coffee, Bessie Nails, Brooke Benson Designs, Coastal Charm, Datura Bloom Co, Good People, La Jefa Salsa, Tailfie and Miimaloo, among others.

Following the February kickoff, the Makers Hive Market will continue with monthly pop-ups at Santa Monica Place on select Sundays throughout 2026.

Visitors can also enjoy Santa Monica Place's diverse mix of shopping, dining and entertainment experiences, from leading brands to popular restaurants featuring sweeping rooftop views.
