Join organizers as they kickoff the 2015 Adult Summer Reading season with a screening of "The Runaways" (106 min.) with post-film discussion by Cherie Currie and Susan Olsen on Saturday, June 6, at 2 p.m. at the Santa Monica Bay Woman's Club Ballroom, 1210 4th Street.
"The Runaways" is based on Cherie Currie's rock 'n' roll memoir, "Neon Angel." Following the screening Cherie is joined by special guest moderator Susan Olsen ("The Brady Bunch") for a discussion on her life in music, movies and her last 15 years as an accomplished chain-saw artist. Cherie will also be selling and signing her new CD "Reverie" and the last few, rare copies of her original book, "Neon Angel."
