The Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation is hosting its 4th annual Wine Auction on Sunday, May 19 at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows, the event’s sponsor hotel in Santa Monica. The elegant soiree will bring parents and community members together to sip, savor and support important programs for all local public school students.
The Wine Auction will feature more than 30 outstanding wine and food tastings from top restaurants and renowned vineyards. Attendees will be able to bid on silent and live auctions of world-class wines and exceptional experiences.
The event’s present sponsors are the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows/MSD Capital; Bird; David Yun and the Eighty8 Group; Santa Monica Place, owned by Macerich; The Plaza at Santa Monica; OneWest Bank and Saint John’s Health Center Foundation.

The three previous Wine Auctions have raised a combined $659,000 for local public schools. The money raised this year will directly fund arts programs, classroom aides, STEM and student health and wellness programs in Santa Monica public schools next year. Annual donations and Ed Foundation endowments are funding $2.6 million in programs during the current school year. Fundraising for 2019-2020 schoolyear programs will continue through June 30, 2019.

Wine, beer and spirit tastings include The Wine House, Aum Cellars, Beckman Vineyards, Bonaccorsi Wine Company, Crocker and Starr Winery, The Dalmore, Empress 1908 Gin, Fulldraw Vineyard, Law Estate Wines, Maritana Vineyards, Nicolas-Jay, P. Many local businesses are sponsoring the event through the Education Foundation’s Corporate Partner program.
