To commemorate October as Hispanic Heritage Month, the dual-immersion students of Edison Language Academy took time to learn about all manner of Spanish-speaking countries. At the school site, classroom windows were decorated to represent a different Spanish-speaking country, and students were able to take part in visits to each classroom.
Principal Elizabeth Ipiña was able to join some of her students on the tour. Hispanic Heritage Month events at Edison continue on October 23 with a performance by Brazilian Ballet Folklórico, offering students a glimpse into the cultural traditions of Brazil that Edison staff called "a different but equally fascinating aspect of Hispanic heritage."
