The Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce will host its 94th Annual Installation Dinner with the induction of new board members, a presentation of awards, and a showcase of local businesses at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows on June 12, at 5:30 p.m. The Installation theme is “Cultivating Business in Santa Monica” and will feature a networking cocktail hour for local businesses and entrepreneurs, as well as a silent auction featuring items from dozens of local businesses. The Dinner will also signal the installation of the new 2019 – 2020 Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce Board, hosted by the incoming Board Chair Laura McIver, General Manager of Shutters on the Beach.

McIver has served on numerous boards including the Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce and Visit Santa Barbara. She has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, specifically in Santa Monica, Santa Barbara, and other premier travel destinations.
The evening’s theme highlights the Chamber’s commitment to sustaining growth for all businesses and is the foremost opportunity to gather with hundreds of local business leaders and visionaries who come together as a vibrant community.
Awards will be presented honoring exemplary businesses and exceptional individuals for their contributions to the Chamber and the business community. The “Roy E. Naylor Lifetime Achievement Award” will be given to Fred Deni, owner of Back on the Beach Café & Back on Broadway Café. Santa Monica Air Center/Barker Hangar will receive the “Bob Gabriel Community Service Business Award.” The Chairman’s Awards recognize select volunteers for their efforts throughout the year.
