The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announces plans to close a lane in each direction of Pacific Coast Highway (State Route 1/PCH) from Malibu Lagoon Bridge to Corral Canyon Rd. in the city of Malibu for a pavement preservation project.
Starting Monday, Aug. 23, crews will be performing overnight closures overnight, Monday through Friday between 8 p.m. - 6 a.m., at the following location:
One northbound and southbound lane along various locations of PCH between Malibu Lagoon Bridge to Corral Canyon Rd.
Some closures may start and end later. All closures are weather permitting and subject to change. Motorists should expect delays and are strongly advised to use alternate routes. Drivers can check traffic conditions before they leave by visiting the Caltrans Quickmap.
The work is part of a $2.2 million pavement preservation project will that repair pavement in all four lanes on Pacific Coast Highway and slurry seal the roadway between the Malibu Lagoon Bridge to Corral Canyon Rd. in the city of Malibu
Caltrans reminds drivers to be “Work Zone Alert” and to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
