Hair grabbing assault

On December 11, 2019, at 11 am, Officers responded to the area of 800 Pico to handle an assault call. A female subject and her children were walking on the sidewalk when a male subject walked past her and grabbed her by her hair, threatening to kill her. The female was able to get to a safe area and call the police. The victim suffered pain to her scalp. Her children were not harmed. Assisting officers found the suspect in the area. He was positively identified and arrested. Bryant Scott Perkins, DOB: 06-22-1993, Homeless, was booked for criminal threats, assault, battery and probation violation. Bail was set at $50,000.
