Swingers diner will close this Saturday, August 31.
The casual eatery announced the decision to staff this week and cited the cost of doing business as the primary reason.
“This has been a tough and emotional decision for us to make, but one that is necessitated by business circumstances. Continual rising costs, food, labor, and operating expenses made our business model impossible to continue to maintain,” said a statement issued by the company.
“To all of our talented cooks, servers, hosts, bussers, dishwashers, managers both past and present and to our guests, our friends, and family…you have enhanced our lives, and we want to say Thank You for the journey.”
The restaurant is located at the corner of Broadway and Lincoln. The busy block is also home to a grocery store, Bay Cities deli, Bodega Wine Bar, Jersey Mikes sandwich shop, Fresh Brothers Pizza and Pono Burger.
Swingers has a second location in Hollywood that will remain open.
