Fog that has been shrouding parts of Southern California will continue into mid-week before a return of Santa Ana winds.
The National Weather Service says areas of coastal low clouds and fog may spread into some valleys Wednesday night into Thursday before offshore flow brings clearing.
The dry and gusty northeast winds will be produced by surface high pressure over the Great Basin.
It's still not clear, however, just how strong the winds will be.
The weather service says one model indicates moderate or stronger Santa Anas while another model indicates weak to moderate winds.
