On Aug. 24 at about 12:56 p.m. officers responded to a radio call for service at Bloomingdale’s, 315 Colorado Ave., regarding a theft that had just occurred.
The suspect fled the location with merchandise. Officers determined the suspect entered the store and selected several items from the sales floor. The suspected exited the store without paying for the merchandise and ran southbound on 4th Street. Officers detained the suspect at Main Street and Olympic Boulevard.
The store was desirous of prosecution. The suspect, Keron Howard, 32, of Monrovia, was placed under arrest without incident and booked for shoplifting. Bail was set at $500.
