A man was stabbed Monday afternoon near Virginia Avenue Park, a Santa Monica police official said.Authorities were called to a bus stop near the intersection of Pico and Cloverfield boulevards at about 4:15 p.m., Sgt. Rudy Camarena said.The victim had a puncture wound but was not cooperating with emergency responders, Camarena said.No further details, including information on a possible suspect, were immediately available.Traffic was backed up in the area as police and fire officials responded to the scene and continued their investigation.Virginia Avenue Park is 9.5 acres and features playgrounds and basketball courts as well as a community center.
