It is such a tragedy that our school board members are moving forward to demolish the historic Samohi High History Building. What does that act teach students? That everything is disposable, that nothing in our past needs to be respected, has value, or should be saved; that there are no sacred places. That philosophy has caused such destruction to our culture, indeed, to our planet.
I regret having voted for the school bond that enabled this disaster. Should the Board go ahead with this, my family and I will never vote for another school bond again.
