Worried about drinking and driving this New Year's Eve?
You don't have to be thanks to the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, which will be offering people free rides on buses and trains.
The free rides will be offered from 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve to 2 a.m. New Year's Day.
Metro rail will operate all night on New Year's Eve to encourage safe travel and to get people to use public transit to the Rose Parade in Pasadena on Jan. 1, but the free fares will apply only until 2 a.m.
Metro and all Big Blue Buses will operate on a typical Sunday schedule on New Year's Day.
