A pair of broken power lines shut down Montana Ave between 11th and 14th on Saturday and caused a power outage. The lines broke at about 10am for unknown reasons. Officials at the scene said the first line broke and caused a chain reaction that broke the second.
One broken line could be seen in front of the Aero theater while the other was near the alley on 12th.
While some Montana businesses retained power despite the downed lines no-one is permitted to access the street until the lines were cleared.
Edison repairs crews arrived at about 11:15am to begin repair work. The street reopened shortly thereafter and work continued on power restoration.
