According to the Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD), just after midnight, in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday, 11 June, officers responded to a 911 call of an assault in the 2700 block of Main Street.
The victim has been transported to a local hospital for treatment, but SMPD has said they do not have any details related to his injuries and his condition is not known.
Three suspects have been taken into custody. More information will be released as the investigation progresses.
A SMAlert was sent out by email at 12:35am that said, "Main Street is closed between Hill and Ashland due to police activity. Please avoid the area until further notice."
And another alert was sent by text message at 5:57am that said, The Santa Monica Police Department activity at Hill street and Main street has ended. Resume normal activities."
