To celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce honored several female standouts in their respective fields during the 2024 Women in Business Leadership Awards.

Held at the Proper Hotel, guests enjoyed meals and each other’s company before a ceremony that included performances and the day’s five awardees. Earning the honors were Founder and CEO of Sensate Anna Gudmundson, Snap Inc.

Director of Strategy Nona Yadegar, Activision Senior Content Manager Angela Scott, Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Director of Info Tech Bertha Roman and UCLA Health Chief Information Officer Ellen Pollack. Gudmundson gave the day’s keynote address, while guests also heard performances from singer Quinn Archer and comedian Mona Shaikh.

“Our International Women’s Day luncheon underscores the invaluable contributions of women in leadership roles across diverse industries,” Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce CEO Judy Kruger said of the event.

“We aim to inspire and empower individuals from all walks of life to recognize and celebrate the achievements of women in our community and beyond.”
