Officers responded to a call about a battery on the corner of 17th and Santa Monica Blvd. The victim relayed that she was homeless and that a woman pushing a cart had approached her and thrown a milkshake at her. As she walked away, the subject followed and hit her with a bike chain. The victim sought assistance from passersby and the subject walked away. The victim was treated for her injuries and Shanola Shatale Webb was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
