Officers were dispatched to a home on the 100 block of Wadsworth regarding suspicious circumstances. The home’s caretaker had observed an unknown female in the backyard and believed she may be hiding in the storage space under the house. Upon arrival, Officers located the locked door leading to the storage space and demanded the individuals inside to come out. The first suspect stepped out and stated he was with a woman and that he had taken a laptop and given it to her. Officers put out a Suspect description for the female party, who was soon located on Main and Pacific in possession of a laptop. Alexander Barry and Shawna Joe Anderson were both arrested for 459 PC- Burglary. About an hour later, an SMPD Forensic Specialist was processing the scene when she noticed through the residence’s live feed surveillance cameras that another suspect had entered the property by jumping a fence. The Forensics Specialist and the home’s caretaker locked themselves inside and requested police assistance. The suspect also appeared to have locked himself in a storage space underneath the house. Officers arrived with a K-9 and made several requests for the suspect to exit the storage room. Eventually, officers knocked the door down and deployed their K-9 partner, who quickly made contact with the suspect. Tommy Kai Shriner was arrested for 459 PC- Burglary. Shriner was also found to be on probation for burglary, theft, trespass and resisting arrest.
