Santa Monica College (SMC) continues its Communication, Media & Design Series this spring with Part 2 of an informative two-part talk and audience Q&A with installation artist, animator, and independent filmmaker Patrick Smith. In “Independent Animation Filmmaking with Patrick Smith – Part 2,” he will discuss his evolving career over the past 20 years, including how he came to animation, his early work as storyboard artist with Disney, and his move into creating his own independent films and commissioned work.
The talk is free, and will be held online as a live virtual event at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 3. A Zoom link to the talk will be posted with the listing on the SMC Events calendar at smc.edu/calendar. To attend the workshop, the Zoom software must be installed on the viewer’s computer. A free download is available at zoom.com.
The Communication, Media & Design Series is sponsored by the SMC Associates, SMC Communication and Media Studies Department, and SMC Design Technology Department.
