On November 24, 2020, the Santa Monica Police Department arrested Frank Herbert, an unhoused individual from Los Angeles, for two burglaries in the City of Santa Monica. Detectives from the Santa Monica Police Department presented the case to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office on November 30th and they have filed two felony counts of burglary (Penal Code Section 459) on Mr. Herbert. Currently, Frank Herbert is being held on $50,000 bail. 

Herbert’s arrest stems from two separate non-residential burglary cases. The first, which occurred on November 6, 2020 at 5:40am, where a suspect broke into, entered, and stole property from a business located in the 1700 block of Olympic Boulevard. 

The second case occurred on November 23, 2020 at approximately 11:00pm, where a suspect broke into, entered, and stole property from a business in the 1600 block of Euclid Street. The property stolen from the business was a Star Wars movie prop helmet, multicolored pillows, and purses. All property was recovered and returned to the owner.
