On October 1, the Santa Monica Police Department’s Special Investigation’s Unit served a search warrant in Los Angeles related to a narcotics sales investigation that originated in Santa Monica.
During execution of the search warrant, detectives seized fentanyl, heroin, prescription pills, approximately $296,000 in US currency, a stolen Glock handgun, a shotgun, ammunition, numerous United States Passports, various identification cards and driver’s licenses belonging to other persons.
Due to the evidence recovered and information gathered, detectives arrested the primary person of the investigation. The suspect is identified as William James Radford from Los Angeles. Radford has been booked for 11351 – H&S Possession of Narcotics for Sales; 11370.1 H&S – Possession of a Narcotics with a Loaded Firearm; 29800(A)(1) PC – Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm; and 496 PC – Receiving Stolen Property.
Detectives will be presenting the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.
