The Santa Monica College Music Department is pleased to present “Soul Singing: Coloring Outside the Lines,” a performance by the SMC Chamber Choir. The concert will be held Saturday, June 1, at 7:30 p.m. in The Broad Stage at the SMC Performing Arts Center, 1310 11th Street (at Santa Monica Boulevard), Santa Monica.

Under the baton of SMC music instructor Jeremiah Selvey, the SMC Chamber Choir will be joined by four SMC Music Department faculty, guest concert pianist Nyaho, the SMC Concert Chorale, a world-class rhythm section, and student soloists in a performance of Robert Ray’s Gospel Mass, a selection of soulful African American spirituals. Arrangements by jazz violinist and artistic collaborator Lesa Terry will raise the roof.

Tickets are $15 general admission ($7.50 for current SMC students with valid ID). Free parking on premises. Seating is strictly on a first-arrival basis.

Tickets and information available at smc.edu/music-concerts or by calling 310-434-3005 or 310-434-4323.
