Officials are clearing Santa Monica beaches due to a lighting storm.
The City’s SM alert system sent out an automated warning at about 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
“An electrical storm with lightning has been reported in Santa Monica. Please evacuate all ocean and beach/sand areas. Seek shelter indoors until the storm has ended,” he said.
