Join Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation for the eleventh annual Walk with Love 5K Walk/Run in Pacific Palisades. The event will be held on Sunday, April 28 from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Pacific Palisades Recreation Center. The kid-friendly and dog-friendly event will feature a kids’ corner and high-end product giveaways for the whole family.
Walk with Love is slated to raise a quarter of a million dollars in critical funding for programs like the Army of Women® which educates and engages the public to participate in research studies that are bringing us closer to a future without breast cancer. Proceeds will also benefit the Foundation’s first of its kind research such as Mapping of the Breast Ducts, the microbiome of the breast study, and ImPatient Science™ – a recently launched digital education initiative using a series of instructional videos and online resources to educate and empower patients.
Walk with Love is expected to host over 800 walkers and runners. While the flagship event will take place in Southern California, supporters nationwide are invited to participate in their own communities. Run, walk, bike, swim, or choose their own form of activity and virtually join the movement on April 28th.
“We are excited to be at the forefront of some of the most life-changing breast cancer research. But it’s time to push the needle forward. Walk with Love is unique in that it increases people’s connection to our mission and raises the funds needed to continue driving critical research that will directly benefit women and men living with breast cancer and metastatic breast cancer NOW.” says Dr. Susan Love, Chief Visionary Officer of the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation.
This year, Walk with Love aims to raise $250,000 to continue to drive groundbreaking breast cancer research. “The time has come that we move beyond awareness and empower our community to take action by donating and raising funds to support breast cancer research” says, Christopher Clinton Conway, CEO of the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation.
