On November 13, at about 1:30 p.m.

Officers responded to a radio call for service in the area of Appian Way and Pacific Terrace regarding the robbery of a cellular telephone. Officers located the suspect in the 1600 block of Ocean Front Walk. As officers were speaking with the suspect, he pushed one of the officers and attempted to run away. Officer were able to grab the suspect and a struggle ensued. The suspect was placed in handcuffs. Officers learned the victim was working at an e-scooter rental shop along Ocean Front Walk. The suspect was loitering about the business for several hours acting erratically and yelling for unknown reasons. At some point, the suspect grabbed the victim’s cellular telephone from his hand and ran off. The victim gave chase and caught up with him and retrieved his phone. The suspect was taken into custody. Manuel Delgadillo Banuelos, 28, was arrested for robbery and resisting arrest. Bail was set at $50,000.
