The Santa Monica College Pete & Susan Barrett Art Gallery presents “Pop! Selections from the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation,” an exciting exhibition of culturally important Pop artwork from the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation.
The exhibition will be open to the public from Tuesday, September 4, to Saturday, October 13, with a free gallery reception on Saturday, September 8, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The SMC Pete & Susan Barrett Gallery is located at the SMC Performing Arts Center, 1310 11th Street (at Santa Monica Boulevard), Santa Monica.
Funding for the exhibition and related activities has been provided by the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation and Santa Monica College.
The SMC exhibition is paired with a concurrent Pop exhibition — Pop! 50 Years of Art and Popular Culture from the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation — at the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art on the Pepperdine University Malibu Campus August 28 to December 2. The museum will hold a reception on Sunday, September 9, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
