The Friends of the Santa Monica Public Library is a non-profit, community based volunteer organization dedicated to promoting the Santa Monica Public Library system as an essential institution of our community and supporting its mission and vision. Through the generosity of Friends, Members, Donors and proceeds from the Friends Bookstore they sustain such successful, ongoing projects as the Summer Reading Program, Soundwaves Concert Series, additions to Santa Monica’s Image Archive Collection, Monthly Library Calendar of Events, SMPL at the Beach, movie screenings and public programs such as the SMREP reading of Uncle Vanya on Sat, Aug 25 from 2 – 4:30 p.m. at the Main Library, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.

Donations not required to attend this event but for anyone wanting to make a donation, a $20 amount will benefit Friends of Santa Monica Library.

Seating is limited, and on a first arrival basis. Late seating is not permitted until a suitable break in the performance. Early arrival is recommended.
