Tommy’s/Starbucks — really (“Tommy’s Burgers may get booted for Starbucks,” Feb. 21)? Do we really need another Starbucks in Santa Monica? I feel we have more than enough. For a better cup and more affordable, I’d choose an established McDonald’s or Jack in the Box.

I agree. It’s bad enough that another one opened at 11th and Wilshire. There are too many Starbucks and coffee shops. They’d be competing with the Cofffee Bean at Michigan and Lincoln, and I’d much rather see them in business than another Starbucks. Another one is ridiculous.
