
PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY — Santa Monica Police have arrested a man they suspect lit 10 arson fires around the city, it was announced on Sunday.
Police officials say that Balbinder Singh is responsible for a number of fires, some of which damaged three apartment complexes.
The fires spanned a 10-day period, starting on Dec. 30.
At one of the complexes, the fire had burned into a ground-level garage and was threatening to burn further up into the living area of the complex. Another arson fire caused major damage to a car parked at a car dealership.
The District Attorney’s office filed four counts of felony arson against the subject.
