Santa Monica resident Amnon Kabatchnik has been named a finalist in the ForeWord Book of the Year Awards for her book “Blood on the Stage, 1975-2000.”

The winners of the award will be announced at the American Library Association annual conference in Chicago on Friday, June 28.

Kabatchnik’s book, which is a continuation of three previous ones, gives an overview of plays about crime, mystery and detection during the last 25 years of the 20th century.

The ForeWord Book of the Year Awards highlights the year’s most distinguished books from independent publishers.

“Blood on the Stage, 1975-2000” is available wherever books are sold and as an ebook. For more information, visit
