The Santa Monica Conservancy is looking for docents to lead a tour of restored historical architecture in five homes June 3.

Tours will be held from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., and guides are expected to work for two and a half hours. Docents will be given free admission to the tour during the shift that they are not working.

The program is called “Living in a Landmark” and chronicles the transition from historical structure to habitable home. Some of the stops on the tour will include a former 1875 church that has been converted into a residence, and a renovated airplane bungalow. No experience is necessary, and guides will be given information ahead of time, in addition to completing a walk-through with the owner an hour prior to the start of the tour.
