SAMOHI — The No. 3 seeded Santa Monica High School’s girls’ volleyball team advanced to the second round of the CIF-Southern Section Division 3AA playoffs with a three game win over Rio Hondo Prep at home on Tuesday.

The win sets up a second round matchup at Victor Valley tonight at 7 p.m.

Pacifica Christian hosts

Pacifica Christian’s girls’ volleyball team will host Azusa tonight at Crossroads in the second round of the CIF-SS Division 4A playoffs.

The Seawolves advanced by defeating St. Mathias on Tuesday in three games. That game was also played at Crossroads.

Lighthouse Christian wins

Lighthouse Christian’s girls’ volleyball team will head to Orangewood Academy today for a second round CIF-SS Division 5AA match.

Lighthouse Christian set the meeting up by defeating Mammoth in the first round on Tuesday.

The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
