The Bank of America Charitable Foundation will donate $3,500 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica as part of a larger $150,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America — Los Angeles County Alliance.

The donation will fund the greater mission of the clubs: “ensuring club members graduate from high school, live a healthy lifestyle and build a life of community engagement and service,” according to a statement released on Tuesday.

Over 100,000 children aged 7 to 18 benefit from their involvement with the 120 L.A. County clubs. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica alone reach 7,000 children, according to the statement.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica is preparing to honor another community donor. At the club’s 36th annual auction and dinner, to take place on Oct. 21, they will be honoring Canyon Capital Realty Advisors.

The company has raised over $200,000 for club programs in the past three years.
