In honor of England’s Prince William and Duchess Catherine’s visit to SoCal, several local businesses are punching up their services to give customers a royal experience this weekend.
Hotel Oceana is offering guests a “royal rendezvous,” a two-night stay that mimics Will and Kate’s most romantic moments. Guests will be chauffeured in a Rolls Royce through the Santa Monica Mountains on a wine tasting tour. For $6,000, guests will be served afternoon tea poolside and enjoy a gourmet picnic for two.
The Hotel Shangri-La is also reverting back to America’s pre-revolutionary roots as guests will have tea and toffee at their whim if they purchase “The Royal Hideaway Package” for $325 a night. Le Merigot Hotel will create a romantic atmosphere fit for a royal couple with “A Little Royalty” package for $585 per night.
The Tudor House on Second Street will be serving items off a menu inspired by Britain, and Ye Olde King’s Head will be serving royal tea and champagne from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Princess tea will be available for tots.
A DJ will be playing England’s hottest hits, and commemorative items will be on sale in the gift shop.
Union Jack shirts and flags, along with royal wedding memorabilia, will be sold at The Continental Shop on Wilshire.
