The Santa Monica College Music Department will present an eclectic mix of concerts in December — from opera to jazz to percussion — all of which will be held at The Broad Stage or Edye Second Space at the SMC Performing Arts Center, located on Santa Monica Boulevard at 11th Street, officials with the college said.

The lineup is:

• Friday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m.

SMC Chamber Choir, under director Nike St. Clair. The ensemble will perform a holiday program featuring festive pieces from the Renaissance to the present that reflects the Jewish and Christian musical traditions. The Edye Second Space. (Tickets are $10)

• Sunday, Dec. 5 at 4 p.m.

SMC Wind Ensemble, under the baton of Kevin McKeown. The Broad Stage. (Tickets are $10)

• Thursday, Dec. 9 at 11:15 a.m.

SMC Percussion Ensemble, under the baton of Matthew Altmire. The Edye Second Space. (Free)

• Friday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m.

SMC Jazz Vocal Ensemble, under the direction of Cindy Bourquin. The ensemble will present a program specifically arranged for four-part harmony and backed by Los Angeles-area jazz musicians. The Broad Stage. (Tickets are $10)

• Saturday, Dec. 11 at 7:30 p.m.

SMC Opera Workshop’s “An Evening of French Opera Highlights,” featuring selections from the operas “Carmen,” “Tales of Hoffman,” “Manon,” “Mignon,” “Lakme,” and “Dialogues of the Carmelites.” Under the direction of Gail Gordon. The Broad Stage. (Tickets are $10)

• Sunday, Dec. 12 at 4 p.m.

SMC Jazz Band, under the baton of Keith Fiddmont. Renowned guest artists such as Snooky Young, Kim Richmond, Bob Sheppard and Oscar Brashear frequently perform with the ensemble. The Broad Stage. (Tickets are $10)
