The 62nd Annual Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards nominations were announced recently, and once again CityTV graces the nominee list.

CityTV Santa Monica has received four award nominations, including nods for excellence in the categories of Public Service Announcements (PSAs) and Public, Municipal and Operator Produced Cable.

CityTV’s eco-friendly show “Be Green,” which promotes ways to live a green lifestyle, was produced in association with the Office of Sustainability and the Environment, and was nominated for the Public, Municipal and Operator Produced Cable Emmy award.

CityTV’s public service announcement videos “Kids Finance PSA” and “Westside Food Bank” both received nominations in the Public Service Announcement category. The fourth nomination is for a PSA called “L.A. County Foster Care: Share Your Heart” which was produced in a partnership with Los Angeles County.

Two of the PSAs, “Share Your Heart” and “Westside Food Bank” are projects of the prestigious Women in Film PSA Production Program. Volunteer Women in Film members produced, directed, and wrote the PSAs. This is the second year for the program partnership and also the second year the partnership has been acknowledged with Emmy nominations, city officials said.
