The staff at the Institute for Spine and Sports Care is offering patients free chiropractic services to new patients free of charge in exchange for $20 to $30 worth of food or toys to support the Westside Food Bank and the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Spark of Love toy drive.
The deal applies to all new patients for the month of December and includes first-day services such as a complete health history and orthopedic, neurologic exam and a report on the findings. Patients are encourages to mention the food/toy drive when scheduling their first appointment.
The following food items are needed:
• Peanut butter
• Cans of soup, tuna, pork and beans, stews, meats or fruits
• Pasta, pinto beans, lentils and macaroni and cheese
• Hot and cold cereals
• Fruit juice
• Baby foods
The Westside Food Bank has distributed nearly four million pounds of food to the food assistance programs of 65 Westside social service agencies, according to staff with the institute. Visit www.westsidefoodbankca.org for more information.
The Spark of Love toy drive provides a new unwrapped toy or sporting good to a child who otherwise would go without a gift this holiday season.
